A zoning
permit is
required by ordinance for verification of compliance
of Readington Township Land Use Ordinance
No. 15-2001 (Chapter 148) for the first time erection,
alteration, and/or moving of a structure. Zoning
permit fee is $35.00.
A change in use is required to obtain a continual certificate of occupancy from the Zoning Official verifying that the proposed use is approved within the established zone. A Zoning CCO permit fee is $100.00.
Special
event permits are required for grand openings, anniversary
and/or relocation sales that include temporary tents, banners,
outside cooking and/or temporary use approval. Special
event zoning permit fee is $100.00.
A zoning permit without a construction permit is required for the erection of a fencesix feet or less, re-facing of an existing sign and the installation of an accessory structure (shed) under 100 sq. feet.
Any uses not expressly permitted in Chapter 148 are prohibited. Variations from requirements in Articles IV, V, and VI in their entirety shall require zoning variance approval by the Board of Adjustment. Variation from other sections of Chapter 148 shall require waiver approval by the Board of Adjustment.
