Township of Readington, Hunterdon County, New Jersey

Help Wanted:  Tree Planting on Saturday

Despite the dry and hot summer, the town nursery had a surprisingly large number of survivors.  Now it is time to put them in the ground in open space throughout the township.  Please join me over the next five weeks as we plant sycamores, oaks, cedars, spruce and cherry trees in a variety of places:

Saturday September 24th 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM:

Where: Lachenmayer farm

What we plan on doing: Planting Trees along the Holland Brook Stream

Meet at: The parking area on Pine Bank Road east of  Roosevelt Road by the bridge over the Holland Brook.  If there are too many cars, we may have to park at the end of Casper Berger road and walk down to the Holland Brook, but the trees will be down there already.

Tools that would be Helpful: Shovels, pitchforks, weed whacker, wheel barrow, watering cans, empty five (5) gallon joint compound bucket (without holes)
